    Job Description:

    We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead development for on METAL, our brand-new Inventory Management System. A successful candidate will have an active-oriented mindset and a focus on exceeding expectations, who operates with vision and integrity. Directors of Engineering can expect to play an active role in the development and completion of projects, meet and report back to upper management, plan and monitor work schedules, and work with multiple and diverse teams. Some of their responsibilities also include aligning engineering activities and projects with company goals and objectives, providing expert guidance and support, approving newly-developed policies from various departments, and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

    • Architecture and development of new features.

    Required:

    • 3+ years experience with front-end technologies such as React, Redux, and Webpack.
    • Mastery of HTML and CSS/SASS/Styled Components
    • 3+ years experience working with NodeJS
    • Experience with NodeJS frameworks like Express
    • 3+ years experience working with MySQL or any NoSQL database; the ability to write efficient queries and benchmark/profile them
    • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming
    • Understanding of local development environments and integration of varying components.
    • Experience with performance debugging and benchmarking

    • Experience with testing frameworks like karma, mocha, or jest
    • Strong attention to design detail. Matching markup/layout with mockups, and making them better. Knowing when things are off (even by a couple pixels) - and knowing why that impacts the experience negatively.

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a Lead Security Engineer to take the reins of our security programs. At Dealer Inspire, we believe that security is paramount to building trust with our customers. As the Lead Security Engineer you will have the opportunity to develop and improve security programs that enable stakeholders across Dealer Inspire to deliver secure software. 

    What you will do:

    • Partner with development teams to ensure OWASP best practices are being followed. 
    • Lead internal penetration tests across critical assets. 
    • Develop internal data handling & storage procedures. 
    • Partner with sales teams to ensure compliance with customer security requirements. 
    • Develop roadmaps to receive ISO & SOC certifications. 
    • Train internal teams on security policies and practices. 
    • Work with executive team to develop long-term security goals. 
    • Partner with IT teams to assess the risk of  threats and vulnerabilities to Dealer Inspire and the services Dealer Inspire provides to its clients.

    Required Skills

    • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux shell, AWS, vulnerability scanners, Mac OS X
    • Ability to perform tasks with limited supervision
    • Previous application security testing or Incident Response (IR) experience, including presenting and documenting vulnerabilities, findings or incidents.
    • Strong understanding of software security architecture and design and the ability to clearly articulate best practices for application security
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, breaking down vulnerabilities to both developers and leadership.

    Requirements

    • Strong command of HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP.

    Job Description:

    The Product Owner (PO) is the leader of the Product Scrum Team who serves as a proxy for the customer to prioritize and plan initiatives that bring the most value to the customer and the most return on investment to the Company.

    To accomplish this, the PO must balance the requests for new features and enhancements with the continual need to maintain technical integrity of the product and supporting systems, and prioritize items in the backlog based on the input from all Stakeholders. The PO develops and maintains a vision for the product and is responsible for communicating that vision to all Stakeholders.  The Product Owner is responsible for the product and product features from concept to EOL. The PO works with architects, product marketing and development teams to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met with each product release. The PO is the key decision maker on priorities and design decisions and works to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle. The PO understands both the engineering and business side of the product release and is ultimately responsible for representing the entire product for our company.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Supports and holds accountable other supporting roles (such as sales, marketing, and compliance) to the agreed upon deadlines and deliverables.
    • Accurately assess timelines and delivery schedules, and clearly communicate opportunities and risks to management
    • Own product performance by setting success metrics and monitoring them to inform the future product roadmap
    • Define, manage, and evolve product strategy, roadmap, and vision
    • Management of product's P&L
    • Product ownership role throughout the development and delivery lifecycle, requirements management and backlog prioritization
    • Collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Product leadership teams on outward communications about the product and roadmap
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of the competition, differentiators and business strategy
    • Management of, and contribution to, functional specification and user story definition

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Experience working as a product manager, business systems analyst, software architect, or engineer
    • The standard set of PM skills: understanding markets, competition, and user problems in depth to articulate why and how we should build
    • Experience working with budgets, forecasts, and managing P&L statements
    • Awareness of procedures and standards for conceptual product definition, database design, the creation of analysis specifications and program artifacts, development of test plans
    • Appreciation of good UI/UX design and its impact on product success
    • Ability to work in an organized manner and use common sense and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure on multiple initiatives
    • Ability to adapt to a new working environment and technologies
    • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles a plus
